PHP Version Checker

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 22, 2026

PHP Version Checker is designed to collect as little data as possible. There are no accounts, no stored history of the URLs you check, and no advertising or analytics cookies. This policy explains what is processed when you use the service.

No account

Nothing to sign up for and no profile to maintain.

No query history

Submitted URLs are used for the live check, not stored in a database by this application.

No ad tracking

No analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or cross-site trackers are installed.

Information the service processes

Submitted URLs. When you check a website, the URL is sent to the detection API. It is used to perform the check and is included in the result returned to your browser. The application does not save the URL in a database or keep a per-user history.

Request metadata. The hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request metadata such as the IP address, User-Agent, timestamp, and requested path in order to deliver the service and protect it from abuse. The application uses the client IP address as a transient key for rate limiting through Cloudflare’s Workers rate-limiting binding. It does not write that key to an application database.

Requests to target sites. The checker sends HEAD and GET requests to the website you submit. That website may log the request, including the checker’s outbound IP address and User-Agent, under its own privacy policy. We do not control the target site’s logging.

Cookies and local storage

This application does not set advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies. The light/dark theme preference is stored in your browser’s localStorage and is not sent to the server. Clearing site data in your browser removes it.

Cloudflare may set security cookies, such as bot-management cookies, as part of its infrastructure. Those cookies are controlled by Cloudflare’s own policies and are not used by this application for advertising or profiling.

Third-party services

  • Cloudflare provides hosting, DNS, static asset delivery, and rate limiting. Cloudflare processes request metadata under its own privacy policy.
  • endoflife.date provides PHP lifecycle data. The checker requests the public PHP JSON from its API from the server. No user URL, IP address, or account data is sent to endoflife.date.
  • Target websites receive an ordinary HEAD or GET request when you check them. Their logging is outside this application’s control.
  • There is currently no advertising network, analytics provider, or session-recording service on the site. If one is added later, this policy will be updated before it is enabled.

How information is used

Information is used to perform the requested check, return the result, prevent abuse and excessive requests, maintain the security and availability of the service, and comply with applicable law. We do not sell personal information, build advertising profiles, or use submitted URLs to contact site owners.

Retention

The application does not maintain a query database or a history of submitted URLs. Results exist in your browser tab until you clear them or close the page. Cloudflare may retain infrastructure logs for a limited period under its own policies; this application does not control that retention.

Rate-limit counters are managed by Cloudflare and are not a permanent record maintained by this application. They are used only to keep the service available.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS in production. The checker restricts outbound requests to public HTTP and HTTPS targets, blocks private and reserved network addresses, validates DNS with Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS, re-checks redirects, and applies rate limits. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, and the checker does not store sensitive account data because it has no accounts.

Your choices

Because there are no accounts and no stored query history, there is no stored personal profile to access, correct, or delete. You can clear your theme preference at any time by clearing site data in your browser. If you have questions about this policy, you can use the information on the About page.

Children and international users

The service is intended for site owners and technical users and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from children. Cloudflare operates a global network, so request metadata may be processed in countries other than your own as part of normal service delivery.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the service changes. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised, and material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Questions or corrections

This service does not currently offer an email support channel. Data-source corrections can be verified through the official links on the About page. See the terms of use for the limits of the service.
